Do objects give us comfort in times of loneliness? Antony sees empty chairs within her home as a metaphor for human connection; imagining through them ‘the company of others’. 

I have been collecting abandoned chairs for over 20 years. I find these chairs mostly by the side of the roads in Bangalore, scrap shops etc. These empty chairs within the confines of my home became a metaphor for human connection, in them imagining ‘the company of others’. Having lived alone for 21 years, these chairs became my people.
